Mauian chameleon

Ellen and I spent a week on Maui! In the parking lot of the Enchanted Gardens, I spotted this fine looking chameleon. As we drove away, it slipped down the stalk head first. It had three horns, though you can only see two in the photo. I've always had a particular thing for reptiles. On zoo trips as a kid, it was known that I could be left in front of the iguanas for a good half an hour while the rest of the family wandered. I believed I had a special connection to one in particular who would come up to the glass and stare at me with its tongue out.

First day snorkeling, and I saw a sea turtle. It was resting on the ocean floor, I disturbed it with my excited flailing and yelling 'Holy shit' into my mouthpiece. It rose up through the water, flippers waving and belly facing me, as though it was saying 'Hi, friend!', or according to Ellen, 'I'm gonna cut you!'. It sipped air a couple of times and drifted down to nestle once again on the sandy
bottom.

See you in the Hague!

Hello
Welcome to my blog. I hope that this forum can evolve into a place of lively discourse on food, movies, tennis, romance, and animals.
For starters though, I want to open the discussion up to 'Crimes Against Humanity'.
I am compiling a list of living people who deserve to be taken to the international high court in the Hague, Netherlands, and tried for their crimes. They have escaped justice for too long, often with the aid of tyrant friendly banks, luxury chalets who don't ask questions, and public apathy .
There are some obvious villains- Robert Mugabe, Dick Cheney, The Penguin (I get the latter two confused).
Perpetrators of genocide and mass expulsion or disenfranchisement of large groups of people need to be charged and start serving their sentences before all others, but I suggest we also get creative in how we define 'crimes against humanity', and cast our net wide.
Whalers, financiers, Albertans, papparazzi, anyone who you think should, at the very least, be forced to stand before a group of world representatives trained in the study of ethics and law, and explain themselves. Like in Star Trek.
There must a reason why everyone is so greedy and selfish and mean. It's got to be somebody's fault. Let's flush them out of the underbrush!
I will compile your suggestions in song.
Thank you
Kris
